Prepare Your Team Before Opening Recruitment

July 30, 2026

Guide
A strong recruitment post starts with a clear team need, not the longest possible list of requirements.

Start with the gap your team needs to fill

Define the discipline, role, commitment level, practice schedule, and region before writing the post. Candidates can assess fit earlier and teams spend less time on mismatched conversations.

Keep an application separate from team membership

An application starts a conversation; it should not immediately add someone to a roster. Application status and membership are separate so both sides can confirm the details first.

  • Keep the introduction with the application
  • Make review status visible
  • Create membership only after both sides accept

Close dated membership instead of deleting history

When a player leaves, close the membership with an end date. The current roster stays accurate while previous team history remains traceable.
